Earthship home is wild
What is an EARTHSHIP it is a Solar Powered and Wind Powered bermed House on 20 acres.
Earthships are earth sheltered autonomous buildings made with rammed tire, covered by cement and stucco. Windows on the south side of the earthship add passive heat to the home. Windows are set up to catch the maximum heat within the winter months, and help cool the house in the warm summer months. This home is very inexpensive to control the heat and cold, and optional flow through air.
Electricity is obtained form renewable energy sources with solar cells, batteries and a small windmill. The earthship is able to capture rainwater from the roof and store it, where it is reused for the garden, to flush the toilet, feed the fish pond and small grass area. Having an earthship with windows facing south is a good idea in northern hemisphere climates. These homes heat and cool by themselves, collect their own power, harvest their own sustainable water and contain and treat their own sewage on site. Although we have option for standard septic control and we do have a beautiful rich clean Artsian well water.
